The TDI is a premium inside rod sealing solution for hydraulic piston rods. Its innovative design features a high-performance HPU or NBR elastic ring with a robust sealing lip, paired with a bronze-filled PTFE step seal that functions as a slide ring. This dual-component architecture delivers outstanding sealing performance with built-in wear compensation, ensuring consistent performance throughout the entire service life.
Under increasing system pressure, the slide ring is predominantly pressed against the piston rod surface, creating an optimized annular cavity that collects any seepage oil passing the elastomer lip. This self-regulating mechanism ensures consistent sealing efficiency across the entire pressure range and is typically used in conjunction with guide elements for complete system reliability.
