Custom Sealing Kits for Heavy-Duty Forging Press Cylinders

Recently we had a tough case with large bore hydraulic cylinders on a heavy-duty forging press where the customer had to re-machine the piston grooves after a major repair. The forging equipment works under very high pressure peaks of up to 40MPa and high shock loads. Standard seals could not withstand those loads or the non-standard dimensions of the grooves. 

To solve this, we provided a custom engineered sealing solution to their new exact measurements. Despite the non-standard grooves, we achieved a perfect, leak-free fit and increased the life of the entire hydraulic assembly. This allows the client to avoid constant maintenance and costly downtime caused by seal failure.
